A major funding opportunity arises …!

In the Autumn of 2017, the Scottish Government announced its Malawi Development Programmes  Funding Round 2018. Details of the Funding Round were provided at an Information Event in Edinburgh on 29 November 2017:

It quickly became clear that there would be an opportunity to apply for a significant amount of funding (up to £1.3 million) over a period of up to 4.5 years to support the MalDent Project.

Phase 1 entailed submission of a Concept Note by 26 January 2018. Those who were successful in this first round would be informed in late March and invited to submit a Full Application.

On 29 March 2018 we were informed that our Concept Note was one of 22 being invited to make a Full Application, out of 84 Concept Notes that had been received – we were delighted! There was a lot of work to be done, but a bonus was the inward visit to Glasgow that had been made by Mwapatsa Mipando and colleagues from Malawi just two weeks previously, which allowed a significant amount of joint thinking and planning to be done.
